NCP Convention 2018
“Being Catholic in Australia today … after the Royal Commission and before the Plenary Council”
The NCP Convention will be held at Hotel QT in the heart of Canberra, 10-14 September 2018.
The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse will be over and the Australian church will be preparing for the Plenary Council in 2020. The committee (Bishop Pat Power, Mgr John Woods, Rev Simon Falk and Rev Paddy Sykes) from the Archdiocese of Canberra & Goulburn and the Diocese of Wagga Wagga are working to bring you a Conference with a difference – bringing together a smorgasbord of Australian speakers – male and female – to address the issues of our Church at this present time.
Hotel QT offers very spacious conference facilities together with comfortable accommodation and is easily accessible for delegates arriving by road or air.
Canberra is beautiful in Spring, so you may want to organise to extend your visit to the National Capital. (Floriade is the week following the convention.) Watch this space for further details over the coming months.
Please begin to talk about the 2018 Convention with your brother priests and especially invite those who may not have been before. It is always a first rate gathering!
We look forward to welcoming you to Canberra in September 2018.
Paddy Sykes,
Convention Chairman
